Corrected Stats
Somehow, cousin Wayne's total was incorrect. My assistant in charge of statistics took his no-pick and credited it was a win. The Commish, ever alert to improprieties in accounting, spotted the error and acted quickly to rectify the situation. No conspiracy theories need be floated.
Week 16 Observations
1. Commish Holds On, Kev and Wayne Rise. The Commish is still in the lead with 173 points, but Cuz Wayne and The Pretender gained a point on him. Kev and JoJo are tied for second with 171, with Wayne and Patrick next at 169. Kate continues her strong play at 164 and Bran and Ryan rule that household with a 1 point lead over Sean, 162-161. Patriot hater Ed has 163 and Scott has 160. Luke has 150.
2. Picks of the Week. Bran and Ryan have the top two picks of the week, singularly picking the Bills and the Vikes. They have a knack for PoW’s.
3. Some Things Never Change. Ed picked against the Patriot again. And lost, again.
4. Unanimous Picks Update. The members were 5-1 with their unanimous picks, correctly picking the Saints, the Packers, the Steelers, the Panthers and the Ravens. They lost on the Texans in the upset of the week, maybe of the season.
5. Most Contested Pick. Six Members won with the Lions, Five lost the Bolts.

Belichick and Brady!
I hope we all realize how unique and special the combination of Brady and Belichick is and has been. They hold the record for wins by a coach and quarterback and that record extends every time they win.
I remember many times when they have come up against a hot team, an "unbeatable" team, a team that was undefeated and undefeatable, including in a Superbowl, and took that team apart. Not only did they beat those teams, they showed the rest of the league how to beat them. The Rams, the Steelers, the Broncos—all met their match in Brady and Belichick, and most of the other teams as well. It is the "Belichick Curse." He beats you and he shows others how to beat you as well.

If this "perception" was any bigger, it would take up the whole blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, the outpouring of support for the Commish and his disjointed week of picks I'm sure has been reduced to a trickle of a leaky faucet within seconds of the posting. I'm sure Uncle Phantom Ed read it! UPS and Patrick are a perfect match. Underachieving Picking System spells Patrick. On the up side, that is one great pic of my bride! Beauty is in the eyes of a Volkswagen! Where did the Commish come up with that? I also want to make sure that the Commish verifies that I picked the Colts last night.

This might take a while, for no facts are being investigated, only perceived slights. In the meantime, the Commissioner wants to thank members for the outpouring of e-mails, cards and telegrams supporting him in his endeavors and congratulating him on his fine week of picks.

There seems to be an undertone of complete satisfaction coming from the supposedly neutral commissioner's office. Due to a sub-par week in selections, the Commish was very quick to hunt down trivial information as to an all-time low in correct picks. This has to stop. Good teams come back strong and The Defender is still in the real "hunt".

Week 15 Observations
1. Kevin Stumbles, the Commish Soars. Kevin had a horrendous week, setting GoZone record lows in won-lost and in total points for a week. On the other hand, the Commish had a banner week at 12-4 and a Monday night win. The new rankings are the Commish with 161, JoJo with 159, Kevin with 158, Patrick with 157, Wayne with 155, Ed and Kate with 152, Bran and Ryan with 150, Sean and Scott with 149 and Luke with 139.
2. Picks of the Week. The Commish was in on two of the three. He was the only one to pick the Colts, and he picked the Chargers with Cuz Wayne. The other POW was JoJo and Kate’s pick of the Dolphins.
3. Loser Pick Losers. Ed picked against the Pats, again.
4. Mediocre Week for Consensus Picks. The members were 3-2 on unanimous picks this week. The Cowboys, Saints and Cardinals won, but the Giants and Green Bay lost.
5. Playoff Rule Changes Near. With two weeks to go, the Senior Advisory Committee has been busy looking into changes to the playoff rules. Much has been discussed about making sure the rules encourage parity, but one of the senior advisors has been reluctant to do that. Now that he is no longer in the point lead, expect some news on this soon.

The Commish is getting slammed by various owners calling for his resignation. Appalling accusations out of Central Florida and more dribby-drab from Sibley Terrace. These are not hallucinations Commish. The answer is more Rob Roys on a daily basis. Still have not heard from owner Ed as to his questionable pick. Until then, the call on the field stands! This is why we have by-laws and buy-outs. It seems the quiet mountain in Central Florida has started to erupt in a vicious attack on our Commish. Looking at the standings, this may be a premeditated attempt to sidetrack the real issue here. Such disagreement over how the Commish presents the weekly matchups leads one to believe that maybe an amendment is needed to state that NO matchups will be presented in advance of the games. This will eliminate any owner from having to think about any pick. Ed has already adopted this tactic.
