Re: Week 13 Error Edition

The Commissioner will initiate an investigation into the alleged error in Ed's pick of the Colts over the Patriots, but as league by-laws clearly state, no investigation can be initiated until the league member involved communicates directly to the league office. No proxy requests are allowed. A cursory inspection of the posted picks shows Ed clearly picked the Colt, however.

The Commissioner commends member Patrick's continued diligence in validating the weekly statistical reports.

Week 13: The Error Edition

Although a noted Colts lover, my dad definitely picked the Pats this week.

Week 13 Observations

1.     Luke, Bran and Ryan and Kate lead the Week. All three had 12-4 weeks and won the Monday Night pick.

2.     Kevin in the Lead. A sad day for all of us, but JoJo stumbled a bit at 8-8 and Kevin’s 11-5 gives him a 3 point lead, 139 to 136. Despite the Commish’s fragile mental state, he hangs in with 135. Patrick, Wayne and Ed follow with 134, 133, and 130.

3.     The North Keeps Surging. Bran and Ryan, Sean, Kate and Scott all had good weeks and are knocking on the 130 door with 129, 128, 127 and 127.

4.     Luke Stays in the Hunt. Despite missing a week and a potential of 14 points, Luke now has 121 points.

5.     Picks of the Week. Two games had POW quality. Ed, Sean, B-Ry and Kate picked the Seahawks over the Eagles (although many others meant to pick them) and Wayne, Ed, Luke, B-Fy and Kate picked the Texans to beat the Falcons.

6.     MisPicks of the Week. Cousin Wayne lost with the Vikings over the Tebows pick, he and JoJo picked the Gags over the Chargers, and Patriot Hater Ed picked against the Pats again.

The Commissioner's Explanation

I currently stand at 8-7 for the week and I feel I owe the league an explanation.

Recently I have been on an strict organic, high protein macro-biotic diet that has resulted in some serious hallucinations. But, it has also had some bad effects. I have fouind myself disoriented, confused and off balance, especially when making my weekly GoZone football picks. I have spoken to my organic nutritionist and she assures me that these symtoms are casued by the natural cleansing of the poisons from my body and will pass in due time. When I asked her how long it would take, she said it depended on the amount of poisons in the body and how long they have been there. In my case, she reckons a year or two should do it.

So hand it there for a year or two, and I'll be ready to go!
